The aim of the present case series was to characterize the clinical, diagnostic imaging, and histologic features with description of treatment outcome of periapical cysts in dogs. Medical records of the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania were retrospectively searched to identify dogs that had surgical biopsy specimens of cavitary lesions diagnosed as odontogenic cysts between July 1, 2000 and June 30, 2020. Complete medical records were reviewed. Ten client-owned dogs diagnosed with periapical cysts biopsied were enrolled.
